Jazz Pianist, Composer, Arranger and Teacher, John Lewis, was the Musical Director of the Modern Jazz Quartet (MJQ) and a force behind "Third Stream" Music. He taught at Harvard and City College in the 1970's and returned to playing until his death in 2001.
