Tribute Mondays: Alberta Adams

Alberta Adams (July 26, 1917 – December 25, 2014)

Detroit Blues, Jump  Blues, Chicago Blues Singer and Tap Dancer, Alberta Adams, started as a Tap Dancer in the 1940's and eventually moved on to being a vocalists for Bands and also on her own solo efforts. She worked until 2012 and died a few years later in  2016 at aged 97 years old. Thanks for your contribution Ms. Adams, you are appreciated. Edward Joseph Blackwell (October 10, 1929 – October 7, 1992)


Ed Blackwell was an influential Jazz Drummer that innovated the Free Jazz sub-genre  during the 1960's. He also worked with Ornette Coleman, Ray Charles, Don Cherry and many others.
