Alice Leslie Carter (born in US)

Blues Singer, Alice Leslie Carter, was one of the early Classic Female Blues performers of the 1920's. She worked alongside most of the Blues Greats, but garnered less popularity. Jamaican Dub Poet, Yasus Afari, began scoring hits as a collaborator with his childhood friend, the late Garnett Silk. He worked as a Repair Technician at the Jamaica Telephone Company while pursuing his early career in the 1980's. He scored hits in the 1990's and remains active on tours. The Band was led by Songwriter, Composer, Conductor and Pianist, Arthur Harrington Gibbs. Mr. Gibbs died in 1956. Tribute Mondays: Bob Fuller

Bob Fuller (December 31, 1898 – unknown)

Blues and Jazz Saxophonist (Tenor, Soprano and Alto) and Clarinetist, Bob Fuller, mostly accompanied female Singers during the 1920's. He worked as a studio Saxophonist for both Ajaz and Victor Records and also as a Sideman. He released his own efforts with his Trio, but later left the industry to work in prisons for the New York City Police Department during the 1930's. Jazz Cornetist, Thomas Morris, worked as a studio musician for Jazz performers and Blues Singers. He released his own efforts between 1923 and 1926. Classic Female Blues Singer, Viola McCoy, had a tenure between the early 1920's and 1930's. She began in the Sparks Circus and then moved on to Cabaret. She recorded under numerous names and for various Labels. In her latter years she owned Jack's Cabaret and a Night Club. Manley Augustus Buchanan (born 19 Apr. 1949, Trenchtown, Kingston , Jamaica)

Jamaican Deejay and Producer, Big Youth, released a huge body of work during the 1970's. After working with numerous Producers, he went on to release self Produced material on his own Imprint. And even did some singing on some singles that fared less successful. He was in the film "Rockers"in the 1970's. His career waned in the 1980's, but he had a resurgence in 1990.
