Paul Laurence Dunbar Chambers, Jr. (April 22, 1935 – January 4, 1969)
Jazz Double Bassist, Paul Chambers, was an influential and in demand musician, that helped to cement the Standing Bass as a solid accompaniment to the Jazz Drummer. His technique was highly regarded; although his tenure was short he made a huge impact. He died from tuberculosis at aged 33 years old in 1969.
