Tribute Mondays: Mighty Joe Young

Joseph Young Jr. (September 23, 1927 – March 24, 1999)


Chicago Blues Guitarist and Singer, Mighty Joe Young, was a sideman to Otis Rush, Billy Boy Arnold, Magic Sam and others. His solo career included live performances and Blues flavoured  Albums mostly in the 1970's. He lost the ability to play after a surgery on a pinch nerve in his neck and died from pneumonia in 1998 after a spinal cord operation to regain feeling in his fingers.
