Jazz Greats: Ed Blackwell

Edward Joseph Blackwell (October 10, 1929 – October 7, 1992)


Ed Blackwell was an influential Jazz Drummer that innovated the Free Jazz sub-genre  during the 1960's. He also worked with Ornette Coleman, Ray Charles, Don Cherry and many others.
