Major Lance was a R&B and Soul Singer that helped to revive Okeh Records in 1963. His collaborations with Curtis Mayfield, Carl Davis , and Johnny Pate, as writers and arrangers proved most successful, but his hits eventually dried up. He continued to perform on the Northern Soul Scene (UK) and the Beach scene (Carolinas) up to his death in 1994.
