Olufela Olusegun Oludotun Ransome-Kuti (15 Oct.1938 – 2 Aug. 1997)


Nigerian, Multi-instrumentalist (Saxophone, Keyboards, Trumpet, Guitar and Drums), Singer, Composer and Pioneer of the Afrobeat genre, Fela Kuti, was a talented musician that crafted the Afrobeat sound. He was beaten,  imprisoned and his mansion burnt for his views against the then Nigerian Government. He remains a vital influence to performers across all music genres.
