Earl Cyril Palmer (October 25, 1924 – September 19, 2008)

Rock and Roll and Rhythm and Blues Drummer, Earl Palmer, was initially a Tap Dancer, but went on to do drumming on Rock and Rhythm and Blues classics by Lloyd Price, Fats Domino, Smiley Lewis, Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, The Beach Boys and many others. His Backbeat on "The Fat Man" by Fats Domino is the most important element in Rock and Roll. He died in 2008; please take a listen here and have a relaxing Sunday: Drum village and Teen beat
