Billy Higgins (October 11, 1936 – May 3, 2001)


Jazz Drummer and Teacher, Billy Higgins, was mostly active in the Hard Bop and Free Jazz genres, but he also did session work in other genres. His recorded appearances amounted to over 700 songs and he taught at the University of California in the years prior to his death.
