Soul and Gospel Singer and Actress, Merry Clayton, was a part of Ray Charles' The Raelettes and also did background vocals for many (Rolling Stones, Linda Rondstandt, Pearl Bailey, Lynrd Skynrd, Carol King and others). She has had a 18 year run of solo efforts and continued to do background work.
