Thomas Walter Turrentine, Jr. (April 22, 1928 – May 15, 1997)

Swing and Hard Bop Trumpeter, Tommy Turrentine, worked as a Sideman for his younger brother, Saxophonist Stanley Turrentine and Drummer Max Roach. He also worked in Bands led by many Greats (Benny Carter, Charles Mingus, Billy Eckstine, Dizzy Gillespie, Earl Bostic and Count Basie). He is also noted for his Bebop Compositions.
