John Smith Hurt, better known as Mississippi John Hurt (July 3, 1893or March 8, 1892— November 2, 1966)


  Self taught Guitarist and Delta Blues Legend, Mississippi John Hurt, was rediscovered during the 1960's after being affected by the Great Depression, but only enjoyed success a few years before his death.
