New York Contemporary Five

New York Contemporary Five

Avant-Garde Jazz Group, the New York Contemporary Five, was a short lived outfit that had major influence on Free Jazz. They were a Supergroup consisting of Don Cherry, Archie Shepp, John Tchicai and others. They disbanded in 1964; please take a listen here and have a nice Wednesday: Sound barrier, and Consequences
