Tribute Mondays: Lawrence Benjamin Brown

Lawrence Benjamin Brown (August 29, 1893 – December 25, 1972)

Singer, Composer and Pianist, Lawrence Benjamin Brown, arranged many Negro Spirituals and was a main accompanist for Paul Robeson. He was a regarded connoisseur of Folk music. He worked as a elevator operator to cover various cost while studying in Boston. He then went on to many performances, including one at Buckingham Palace in 1921. He also had some Composition training in London at the Trinity College. Thanks for your contribution Mr. Brown, you are appreciated.
