   Larry Graham is credited with Inventing the Slapping Technique on the Bass Guitar which eventually led to the Funk Genre Sound. He was also a member of Sly and the Family Stone; his Band Graham Central Station's efforts  and his Solo work cemented him as a powerhouse in music.
