Tribute Mondays: Allen Toussaint

Allen Toussaint (January 14, 1938 – November 10, 2015)

Songwriter, Singer, Arranger, Record Producer and Musician, Allen Toussaint, was an influential figure in New Orleans Rhythm and Blues for over 50 years. His career began in 1958 and he was a prolific Songwriter and Producer that worked on hundreds of Recordings. Two of his most  popular works are Lady Marmalade by LaBelle and Right place, right time by Dr. John ("Mac" Rebennack). Some of his songs were listed under the pseudonym, Naomi Neville, the name of his mother. He was also an A&R and most of his songs were covered by Rock Artists (Rolling Stones, The Yardbirds and others). He died in 2015; thanks for your contribution Mr. Toussaint, you are appreciated.
