Richard Berry, Jr. (April 11, 1935 – January 23, 1997)


Singer, Songwriter and Pianist, Richard Berry, was featured as a Bass Singer in various 1950's Doo-Wop Groups. He sold the rights to his song "Louie Louie" to pay for his wedding; but got an out of Court settlement in the 1980's, when he was living on welfare, and became a millionaire due to the song being the most recorded Rock song of all time. Jazz Trombonist and Session Musician, George Bohanon, worked on several Motown Records releases and was also a Solo Artist for one of its affiliate Labels for a short while.
