Francisco Raúl Gutiérrez Grillo (February 16, 1908 – April 19, 1984)

Latin Jazz Musician, Machito, refined Afro-Cuban Jazz and created both Cubop and Salsa Music. He was the founder of Machito and the Afro-Cubans and performed as a Vocalist, Trumpeter and Saxophonist. His music influenced Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker and many others. His many recordings were much loved and are still revered by many. Graciela Pérez Gutiérrez (August 23, 1915 – April 7, 2010)

Pioneering Afro-Cuban Singer, Graciela, was the lead Singer of Machito and the Afro-Cubans. From 1934 onwards she toured and recorded significant pieces that had an huge influence on future Singers. She was regarded for her ability to perform Jazz songs and Ballads with the same level of complexity. Jeannette Dubois (Aug. 5, 1932, 1938 or 1945 (sources differ) – Feb. 17, 2020 )

Actress, Singer - Songwriter and Dancer, Ja'Net DuBois, is most remembered for her role in the Sitcom Good Times (she portrayed Willana Woods). She started out as a Theater Actress in the 1960's in Plays both off and on Broadway. She then moved on to a television Soap Opera, movies and a Sitcom. She Co-wrote and sang the  "Movin' on up" The Jeffersons theme and also released several Albums before her death in 2020. Thanks for your contribution Miss Dubois, you are appreciated. Louis Metcalf

Louis Metcalf (February 28, 1905 - October 27, 1981)

Jazz Trumpeter, Louis Metcalf, had a short stint with Duke Ellington's Band after working the New York Jazz scene of the 1920's. He later moved to Canada in the 1940's and returned to America in the 1960's with a more developed style and a set of new releases.
