Mario Bauzá (April 28, 1911 – July 11, 1993)

Afro-Cuban Jazz Musician, Mario Bauzá, helped to introduce Cuban music to the United States. His career which ran from 1925 to 1993 included musical blends that exhibited true Afro-Cuban Jazz, the genre he originated. He composed for Dizzy Gillespie and discovered Ella Fitzgerald.
