Cuban Born, Jamaican Saxophonist and Founding Member of The Skatalites, Tommy McCook, was integral in the Jamaican Jazz movement of the 1960's. He was also a much sort after session musician of Ska and Early Reggae Artists and recorded many influential pieces. Da Lench Mob was a Hip Hop Group that first consisted of Ice Cube as a member, but then became a stand alone outfit. Their lyrics included political content. The Group disbanded in 1995 after finding a replacement for Rapper, J-Dee, that got life in prison in 1993.
