Tribute Mondays: Johnny "Big Moose" Walker

John Mayon Walker (Jun. 27, 1927 – Nov. 27, 1999)


Chicago Blues and Electric Blues Pianist, Bass Guitarist and Organist, Johnny "Big Moose" Walker, worked mostly as a backing musician for Muddy Waters, Ike Turner, Lowell Fulson and others and also played for Labels trying to recreate the original Blues sound. He served in the US Army during the Korean War in the 1950's and then released solo efforts. He died in 1999; thanks for your contribution Mr. Walker, you are appreciated.
