Reggae Thursdays: Toots and the Maytals

Frederick "Toots" Hibbert (born in May Pen, Clarendon, Jamaica in 1945 – 11 September 2020)


      It is widely disputed whether he was the Founder of Reggae Music or not, and much more, but that aside, Toots is a well known voice around the world, that keeps on representing true Reggae Music. He is one of the few who hasn't watered down the Formulae to have some Green Backs in his pocket.  What is being Produced now isn't Reggae; where are the Strings and Baselines, it's just dictated notes from the............... Check out a few hits here with his band The Maytals: Bam Bam , Sweet and Dandy and Monkey Man
