Wellman Braud (January 25, 1891 – October 29, 1966)
Jazz Upright Bassist, Tuba Player, Violinist and Trombonist, Wellman Braud, was important to the sound of Duke Ellington's early 1920's to 1930's recordings. He was also a versatile instrumentalist, switching from Bass to Tuba on most recordings.
