Jazz Greats: Thomas Morris

Thomas Morris (August 30, 1897 – 1945)



Jazz Cornetist, Thomas Morris, worked as a studio musician for Jazz performers and Blues Singers. He released his own efforts between 1923 and 1926. He became a Christian and left music completely in his latter life. He died in 1945; please take a listen here and have a great Saturday: Original Charleston Strut (1923) and PDQ Blues

Red Hot Peppers

Jazz Band, the Red Hot Peppers, was led by Jelly Roll Morton and was active between 1926 and 1930. They are regarded for their contribution of the precedence setting,  superb blend of composition and improvisation in the early years of the Jazz Genre.
