Delta Blues and Country Blues, Singer/Songwriter an Guitarist, Freddie Spruell, is credited as the first Delta Blues recording Artist. Teacher, Trumpeter, Flugelhorn Player and Vocalist, Donald Byrd, was a pioneer in the Funk and Soul Genres and also had a significant impact in Bebop and Hard Bop. Texas and West Side, Chicago Blues Genres Guitarist and Singer, Freddie King, had influence on the techniques of Eric Clapton and others. He had his bulk of hits in the 1960's and the 1970's.
