Tribute Mondays: Lucille Hegamin

Lucille Nelson Hegamin (Nov. 29, 1894 – Mar. 1, 1970)

Blues Singer and Entertainer, Lucille Hegamin, worked between 1910 and 1934, and then again between 1961 and 1962, after returning from working as a Nurse. She began touring in Minstrel shows at aged 15 and worked in Cabaret for a while. She was the second African-American Blues Singer to Record in 1920 and continued on recording numerous singles. Blues Bass Guitarist, Singer and Guitarist, Floyd Jones, was one of the major Artist behind the post world war ll  Chicago Blues revival. Freddie King (September 3, 1934 – December 28, 1976)

Texas and West Side, Chicago Blues Genres Guitarist and Singer, Freddie King, had influence on the techniques of Eric Clapton and others. He had his bulk of hits in the 1960's and the 1970's.
