Blanche Calloway (February 9, 1902 - December 16, 1978)




   Credited for discovering Ruth Brown, Blanche Calloway was a Bandleader, Entrepreneur, Program Director, etc. She was overshadowed by her younger brother ,Cab Calloway. thou she was is teacher; her legacy as a Jazz Great is almost forgotten, but her influence can be seen in the flamboyant stage Performers of today.
