Jazz Greats: Luckey Roberts

Charles Luckyth Roberts (August 7, 1887 – February 5, 1968)

Luckey Roberts, along with James P. Johnson, developed the stride style of Piano playing; he was a Jazz Great that could do what others saw as the impossible, which lead to varied myths being created around his playing. Please take a listen here and have a nice Saturday: Junk man Rag , Rail Road Blues , Pork and Beans and Nothin'
