Tribute Mondays: Sir Lancelot

Lancelot Victor Edward Pinard (March 24, 1902 – March 12, 2001)

Calypso Singer and Actor, Sir Lancelot, helped to popularize Calypso in North America and was a major influence on Harry Belafonte. He studied to become a Pharmacist and went to New York City to study Medicine, but switched to studying Music and Singing. He appeared in more than 15 films during the 1940's and 1950's and also recorded many songs, wrote a Film Score and sang commercials.
