Jimmy J. Hughes (born February 3, 1938)
Singer, Jimmy Hughes, had huge success in the mid 1960's and is a major figure in the development of the Muscle Shoals music industry. He is the cousin of Percy Sledge. He worked at a rubber factory before scoring his hit (Steal away) that influenced Johnnie Taylor and Al Green. He retired in 1970 and worked a Government Job.
