He made a comeback in the 1990's with a few releases. Byrdie Green

Byrdie Green (1936 – April 26, 2008)

Jazz and R&B Singer, Byrdie Green, began singing in her father's church and went on to perform in clubs. She became the protégé of Ruth Brown and also worked many times with Johnny "Hammond" Smith. She also released her much loved solo Albums that contained some memorable singles. The Singers: Patrice Holloway

Patrice Yvonne Holloway (March 23, 1951 – October 3, 2006)

Soul and Pop Singer and Songwriter, Patrice Holloway, is the younger sister of Brenda Holloway. She recorded unreleased tracks for Motown Records and went on to release solo material on Capital Records. She did back up vocals for many alongside her sister, most notable on the song, A little help from my friends ( 1968 by Joe Cocker and The Grease Band) . She was the singing voice of Valerie in the 1970 Josie and the Pussycats television series. She died of an heart attack at aged 55 years old in 2006. Singer and Songwriter, Brenda Holloway, was signed to Motown Records during the 1960's and scored a few Soul hits before leaving the industry at aged 22 years old in 1966. She returned in the 1990's after her Singles gained traction on the Northern Soul scene. She is the older sister of Singer /Songwriter, Patrice Holloway. Mable Lee (August 2, 1921 – February 7, 2019)

Jazz Tap Dancer, Singer and Entertainer, Mable Lee, was a child prodigy whom began her career at aged 4 years old and became a seasoned veteran by age 19, performing at the Apollo Theater in the US and the Palladium in London. She appeared in many short films during the 1940's and was very active on Broadway into the 1950's. She remained active up to 2018 and died in 2019 at aged 97 years old. Patricia Ann Cole (born October 3, 1946)


Soul Singer, P. P. Arnold, recorded and released the first version of Cat Stevens' "The first cut is the deepest" and was a member of the Ikettes. After leaving the Ikettes she went on to a successful solo career, mostly in the UK and  also became a prominent session vocalist from the 1970's onwards. Singer and Actress, Miki Howard, is the daughter of Josephine Howard of the Caravans and Clay Graham of the Pilgrim Jubilees. She began her career in the Group,  Side Effect,  in 1979. In 1985 her Solo career took off and garnered many R&B hits. She appeared in the movies Malcolm X (as Billie Holiday) and Poetic Justice.
