Charles Moffett (September 6, 1929 – February 14, 1997)

Free Jazz Drummer, Charles Moffett, started his career at aged 13 years old as a Trumpeter and then switched to Drums. He also had a stint in the US Navy and as a Boxer. He released Albums, worked as a Sideman and taught at several Schools. Jazz Trombonist, Bennie Green, had a tenure that ran between the 1950's and the 1960's. He was a Bandleader and was also featured in a few Orchestras. He is remembered for his playing of Swing music and Soul styles on his Trombone during an era overshadowed by other styles. Jazz Saxophonist, Clarinetist, Flute Player and Composer, Hamiet Bluiett, was regarded as one of the  finest players of the Baritone Saxophone. He Co-founded the World Saxophone Quartet and along with his own efforts, also worked as a Sideman to many (Charles Mingus, Babatunde Olatunge, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and others).
