Tribute Mondays: Silas Hogan

Silas Hogan (September 15, 1911 – January 9, 1994)

Louisiana Blues Singer/Songwriter and Guitarist, Silas Hogan, along with his Band The Rhythm Raiders was a main player in the development of the Baton Rouge Blues sound. After the lost of interest in Swamp Blues and an abrupt end to his label contract, he returned to his job at the oil refinery. He died in 1994; thanks for your contribution Mr. Hogan, you are appreciated. Please take a listen here and have a great Monday: I'm gonna quit you pretty baby, Airport blues and Lonesome La La
