John Gilmore (September 28, 1931 – August 20, 1995)
Avant-Garde Jazz Saxophonist, John Gilmore, spent his years working with Sun Ra, though some considered his talent to be as superb as John Coltrane and Sonny Rollins. He even taught John Coltrane in the 1950's and inspired some of Coltrane's works. He died in 1995; please take a listen here and have a good Saturday: Let it stand with Cliff Jordon
