Tribute Mondays: Sylvester Weaver

Sylvester Weaver (Jul 25, 1896 or 1897 – Apr. 4, 1960)

Blues Guitar Player and Country Blues Pioneer, Sylvester Weaver, released successful records around the 1920's, but supplemented his income by working as a Porter, Packer, Apartment Janitor and Chauffeur. He recorded about 50 songs, but died almost forgotten after being excluded from the 1950's Country Blues Revival. Thanks for your contribution Mr. Weaver, you are appreciated. Please take a listen here and have a sweet Monday: Om'ry blues ft. Sara Martin and Guitar Rag
