Ellis Larkins (May 15, 1923 – September 30, 2002)

Jazz Pianist, Ellis Larkins, was the first African American to study at the Peabody Conservatory of music. He then went to the Juliard School and after leaving accompanied many Artists (Coleman Hawkins, Midred bailey, Harry Belafonte and others).
