Doo Wop Groups: Arthur Lee Maye and The Crowns

Arthur Lee Maye and The Crowns

Arthur Lee Maye and The Crowns had a lead singer that was also a professional Baseball Player (Milwaukee Braves) in the minor and major leagues for 18 years. They recorded sides during his baseball off season and released material on various Labels. The Group kind of stopped existing and Arthur Lee Maye continued to work into the 1970's. He died in 2002; please take a listen here and have a great Wednesday: Hey Pretty girl and Gloria
