Walter Bishop Jr. (October 4, 1927 – January 24, 1998)


Jazz Pianist and Teacher, Walter Bishop Jr., began his career following two years in the Army Air Corps in the 1940's. After working with Milt Jackson, Stan Getz, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Art Blakey and others, he studied at The Julliard School and Taught music theory at Colleges in Los Angeles.
