Tribute Mondays: Putney Dandridge

Louis " Putney" Dandridge (January 13, 1902 – February 15, 1946)


Bandleader, Jazz Pianist and Vocalist, Putney Dandridge, began his career in 1918. He accompanied Bill "Bojangles" Robinson for a while, did numerous tours and had his own Band during the early 1930's. After working at several clubs he disappeared from the music scene and died in 1946 at aged 44 years old. Thanks for your contribution Mr. Dandridge, you are appreciated.
