Keith Douglas Sweat (born July 22, 1961)
Singer, Songwriter, Multi-instrumentalist (Bass, Guitar, Keyboard, Drums), Record Producer, Actor and Radio Personality, Keith Sweat, is one of the early figures of the New Jack Swing Musical Movement. He has been active since 1975; first starting out as a member of the Group, Jamilah, before moving on to a solo career in 1984. The late 1980's saw him scoring a huge New Jack Swing hit (I want her) and he continued into the 1990's with several other hits. He discovered and Produced The Groups, Silk and Kut Klose during the 1990's and was a part of LSG (with Gerald Levert and Johnny Gill).
