Jazz Greats: Erroll Garner

Erroll Louis Garner (June 15, 1923 – January 2, 1977; some sources say b. 1921)

Jazz Pianist and Composer, Errol Garner, Composed the Jazz Standard "Misty". He was Self taught and couldn't read music, and played by ear all his life after beginning to play from aged 3 years old. His memory of music allowed him to play many pieces by recollection only. He recorded many regarded Albums from the 1940's onwards.
