Tribute Mondays: Jessie Hill

Jessie Hill (December 9, 1932 – September 17, 1996)


R&B and Louisiana Blues Singer/ Songwriter and Drummer, Jessie Hill, had initial fame in 1960 while based in New Orleans. After moving to California he wrote songs recorded by Willie Nelson, Ike and Tina Turner and Sonny and Cher. His 1972 Solo effort was unsuccessful and he continued performing live until his death from heart and renal failure in 1996. Thanks for your contribution Mr. Hill, you are appreciated.
