Jazz Greats: Bill Dixon

Bill Dixon (October 5, 1925 – June 16, 2010)

Musician, Visual Artist and Educator, Bill Dixon, was a main figure in the Free Jazz Movement and founded the United Nations Jazz Society. He released efforts both as a Sideman and a Bandleader. He also worked as Professor of Music at Bennington College from 1968 to 1995.
