Little Miss Cornshucks

Mildred Jorman (born Mildred Elizabeth Cummings; May 26, 1923 – November 11, 1999)

Rhythm and Blues and Jazz Singer, Little Miss Cornshucks, was a 1940's and 1950's Star whose vocal style influenced future Singers such as Otis Redding, Ruth Brown, Aretha Franklin, Sam Cooke and others. Although her career began in the 1930's and ended in the 1960's, she was not fortunate to become as famous as those that emulated her style. She died in 1999; please take a listen here and have an enjoyable weekend: Try a little tenderness and So long
