Melvin Bliss

Melvin McClelland (June 1, 1945 -July 26, 2010)

Rhythm and Blues Singer, Melvin Bliss, is most remembered for his song "Synthetic Substitution", which has been sampled by numerous Hip Hop Artist (NWA, Ice-T, Naughty by Nature and others) and has been a part of at least 94 Hip Hop songs. His career failed to take off after the Label (Sunburst Records) which he was signed to went bankrupt in 1974 and he was labeled a one-hit wonder.
