Jazz Greats: Panama Francis

David Albert Francis (Dec. 21, 1918 Miami, Florida – Nov. 13, 2001 Orlando, Florida )


Swing Jazz Drummer and Bandleader, Panama Francis, began his outstanding career at aged 12 years old. His tenure included sideman work, Band membership in Jazz outfits, drumming work on many Rhythm and Blues classics and also his revival of the Savoy Sultans in the late 1970's. He received many awards and was a main figure in Rock and Roll.
