Jazz Greats: Booker Ervin

Booker Telleferro Ervin II (Oct. 31, 1930 – Aug. 31, 1970)

Tenor Saxophone Player, Booker Ervin, was regarded for his Blues/Gospel phrasing and his works with Charles Mingus, Horace Parlin, Randy Weston and others. He was a member of the United States Armed Forces and a Berklee college of music alumni.
