Jazz Greats: Nathan Davis

Nathan Tate Davis (February 15, 1937 – April 8, 2018)

Jazz Instrumentalist (Saxophone, Bass Clarinet and Flute), Nathan Davis, worked as a sideman with Ray Charles, Art Blakey, Eric Dolphy and others. He had a Ph.D in Ethnomusicology and was a Professor of Music and Director of Jazz Studies at the University of Pittsburgh beginning in 1969.
