Preston Jackson

James Preston McDonald (Jan. 3, 1902 – Nov. 12, 1983)

Jazz Trombonist, Preston Jackson, worked in King Oliver's Band during the 1920's and was a sideman to many (Louis Armstrong, Roy Eldridge, Erskine Tate, Lil Armstrong, Little Brother Montgomery and many others) from the 1930's to the 1970's. He also was a Bandleader on some cuts in the years 1926 and 1946.
